The Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri”, Megaron, The Athens Concert Hall, the Athens State Orchestra, and the Greek Composers Union are organizing an international conference on “Greek music for the opera and other forms of the performing arts in the 20th century” within the context of the 5th annual cycle of the “Hellenic Music Festivities”. The main objective of the conference is to bring to the attention of specialists in the international community, the music of Greek composers for the stage, in the 20th century. It will focus on the presentation of historical and traditional genres and forms, along with new and contemporary musical trends, and their interaction with various aspects of the performing arts.
